I was heading to tutor a year 9 kid at Carlingford Court today and as I headed out the door and heading to the bus stop, I wasn’t feeling all that on top of everything - I was feeling a bit down.
There came an asian man asking where subway was. I told him where it was and he said thanks and went off. For some reason, I always wondered why strangers talked to me (do I look approachable?)
After tutor, I walked to the bus stop again and sat there reading a book I bought about prayer. It was quite thick and I wasn’t really in the mood to read something that heavy so I left it on my lap. Along comes a man, who asks if the bus goes to Epping - he saw my prayer book and struck a conversation with me. He told me he’d stop going to church for a while but recently started going again, my heart lit up with that joyous news. He even offered to pray for me which I was really thankful about. As the bus came, I boarded and saw an old friend who I hadn’t seen for about a good 3 years and had a good chat with them.
God really knows how to cheer me up haha
God bless.
After being surrounded by a lot of children… I can really understand why God loves children.
Then He called a child to Him and had him stand among them. “I assure you,” He said, “unless you are converted[b] and become like children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven. Therefore, whoever humbles himself like this child—this one is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven. And whoever welcomes[c] one child like this in My name welcomes Me.
Matthew 18:3-5
Now being an education student, - I know children. After multiple lectures of Educational Psychology and being taught that children are ego-centric, I think I beg to differ. They like talking about themselves, yes but they really seek out for attention from others. They ask their parents to buy them things because they know that if they ask, they will receive what is good for them and this is what God demands of us - to be wholly humble before Him to seek for Him and to ask Him.
I love children because God loves children (:
The world will tell you all sorts of lies…
The only way you can escape is by looking and listening to Jesus - who is truth and light.
